Wow hasn’t the time since my last post flew by, So that what have we done well mummy had last week off hence why no posting as she hasn’t been at school to post - we have now got the internet at home, sometimes depending on the funny little dongle thingy, it can ‘actually’ go from having 4 bars to 1 in minutes even without moving it which makes no sense (that’s what mummy often shouts at it, normally with a grunt of some kind as well) but it does also mean that one website page can ‘actually’ take up to 10 minutes to load up, that’s if it doesn’t just log you of the internet all together.
Well this week mummy says I have turned from a little cheeky monkey to a little MONSTER as in her words I am ‘constantly pushing the boundaries’ whatever that means, she thinks that I can read the time as I wait until 4pm everyday to be REALLY naughty, I say “actually I’m not being naughty just SUPER cheeky” but sometimes I am really naughty because I hit, kick and spit - I don’t do it often but when I do I get told off and put on my NEW naughty mat.
I also my naughty if we go in a taxi and it is not our normal regular taxi driver, I like him I don’t like to other ones, our taxi man is nice – the other day my and mummy went to Toys’R’Us (yes shocking there are two of those here (as well as so many other British shops)) and a shop called ACE (for wood – which is a story) which is far from us as it is at the port the taxi there cost 50dirhams (which is only £9 in England a taxi that far/long would have cost about £30, it took a good 25 minutes) and when we arrived the taxi man asked mummy how long we were going to be she said 30mins and so he said “ok I come in too and when you are ready to leave just call me” (as if this would ever happen in the UK) and whilst mummy was waiting and waiting in a long cue to pay I went with the taxi man looking at the planes and helicopters and when say was finished paying we got back in the taxi and came home, all of which I was very good for as it was our normal taxi man “I like my taxi man”.
As for the wood story, I’ll keep this short and sweet NO WHERE sales it!!! (apart from the hardware store ACE) Who would have thought it would have been so hard to buy wood in a desert but not only that a desert where no-one does any DIY as labour is so cheap, in our apartment we can call on the maintenance team to come and put picture hooks up (it’s not that we can’t have them it’s just no one does anything for themselves) IKEA delivery includes assembling, not even the DT teacher at school knew where to buy it from but we do know!
Anyway Last week was Eid which means everyone can eat and drink again – it never ‘actually’ bothered me as I could anyway but it did mummy and daddy especially in the heat over here and not being able to drink. Eid was good everyone was having celebrations; we went to the beach again during Eid everyone was in a party mood (minus the alcohol) but there were a lot more people down at the beach, but it was still pretty empty on the whole.
Also for Eid a new splash park opened up in one of the big parks – when I say big it has 5 different play areas, a museum, a REAL train that goes around it, you can hire 4 seated pedal car things to cycle around it on, but it now has a splash park – YEAH that is lots of fun “I like it, actually I do” there is a lazy river which you sit in a ring and float around on (but I wanted to swim around it but the man said no due to the current I said “I am a big boy, I can swim”. All the photos of me are from the splash park.
Jody if you are reading this aloud to Eva you might want to end here, as you probably will not want to teach/tell Eva about Neo’s monster time….
I will leave you all with a snippet of my monster time yesterday (that is what mummy calls 4-6pm) – mummy said ‘Neo please can you go and get your pyjamas of your bed’, and I said ‘NO’ this was repeated and repeated and repeated (over a period of 10 minutes) finally mummy said ‘Neo you need to go and get you pyjamas as its almost your bedtime’ and I said ‘No mummy you get them I’m not tired’ so mummy said ‘Neo its almost your bedtime’ I said ‘no its not I’m a big boy I’m not tired’ so mummy said ‘Neo it is almost 7 o’clock’ I said ‘Oh….. L’ mummy said ‘NEO go and get your pyjamas’ I said ‘no I’m a baby you go and get them, I pick my book’ mummy was stuck then as by me being a baby I couldn’t get them, and by me being a big boy I get to stay up, anyway daddy got the pyjamas, which mummy put me in and then it was book, milk and bed.
I can sympathise with Monster Time - we have the same issues at the moment, with the added delight of Eva arguing with her sister about who is biggest/best/smelliest/naughtiest etc etc.
ReplyDeleteI made Eva a rainbow, sunshine and cloud like they have at nursery because she loves that - it's seriously the end of the world to get put on the cloud, so it works quite well :)
She has asked if Neo can "come our house on Sunday, its the weekend so me can't play with him at nursery". Pop him on a plane for us..... ;)
